VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES DOCUMENT
Workroom
Teachers need help with copying, cutting, pasting, binding, and other work to prepare for lessons.
Weekly Library Help (School Sponsored Activity)
Our Librarian needs help every day to check books in and out for students, label new books, label AR books and more. Please contact the librarian for more information.
Box Tops (PTA Sponsored Activity)
This project can be done anytime, even at home. Every six weeks, we need to count the box tops collected.
Spirit Nights (School Sponsored Event)
This year, all spirit night funds will go directly to the school, rather than to the school through the PTA. This will be a terrific help to the school as the teachers will have funds to cover frequently needed classroom items. The school needs a volunteer to put the reminder signs on the school lawn each month.
Lunchroom
The lunchroom staff needs general help during the lunch periods. Please stop by whenever, and as often as you can to help our great staff keep order in the lunchroom.

"Volunteers in Public Schools” (VIPS) is a program that encourages parental involvement in our educational system. By participating in VIPS, parents show their children that they value and care about education. Whether it is a few spare minutes, or time at the end of the day at home, VIPS allow teachers, librarians, and principals to better focus on the most important goal of the day – educating our children.
The success of our children is our primary focus. Volunteering sends a powerful message to them, “We support what you do. We want you to be successful and we’re willing to do what we can to help.” It is crucial that our children have a safe learning environment.
The process to join the VIPS program includes completing and submitting the Volunteer Form. Completed Volunteer forms can be submitted through your child’s daily folder or dropped by the front office.
OUR VOLUNTEER ORIENTATION MEETING IS ON SEPTEMBER 15TH AT 10:00AM IN THE SCHOOL - DON'T MISS IT! COME ALONG AND SEE HOW YOU CAN HELP!
